100+ Life Lessons...

...That YOU Can Teach Your Children, Grandchildren, and Kids of All Ages!

Ever wonder why today’s schools don’t teach the valuable things you learned?  HINT: Maybe they’re not allowed -- or maybe they just don’t know how.  How about all that revisionist history; wouldn’t you like to set the story straight?  How about all the other things today’s kids are missing out on that turn out to be important after all?

Well, now you can fix that.  We’ve put together more than 100 Life Lessons – way more and still adding -- that you can use to augment (and sometimes correct) what today’s schoolchildren are learning incorrectly, or worse yet, missing altogether.  These Life Lessons are structured to be presented and discussed with them in simple, 15-minute segments.  They include topics that today’s schools just can’t or won’t touch:  like God, and Love, and Hope, and Faith, and Prayer.  And Wisdom, Trust, Courage, Character, and Integrity.  And History, our Founders and Framers, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, Civics, and Citizenship.  And Mercy, Justice, Kindness, Strength, Grace, Understanding, and Generosity.  And many, many more.

All it takes on your part is to be willing and able to simply talk with the kids, sharing your life learnings and helping them understand the important stuff that isn’t always in today’s textbooks.

It’s your choice:  You can make birdies on the golf course – or you can also make a difference in a kid’s knowledge of real history, and help shape his or her future.  You can teach quilting – or you can also teach truth to a generation that desperately needs to know the truth.  You can know, and live, the difference between right and wrong – or you can also let your grandchildren (and others’ grandchildren) in on why it’s important that they do the same.  They sure don’t get it in today’s “education” environment.

As I said, it’s your choice.  Join me?

Here’s a sample 45 minute segment: three (3) topics, each 15 minutes in length, with maybe 5 minutes of your description of the topic, and 10 minutes of Q & A and discussion.  To keep the transition from topic to topic easy, we’ve linked Competition, Winning, and Losing all together.  We’ve all done them all, and can talk easily about each one:
1)      Competition
A.      Why do we compete?
B.      How do we compete?
C.      When do we compete?
D.     Whom do we compete against?
E.      Do we have teammates?
F.       How do we help our teammates?
G.    (Feel free to add other questions for them, depending on your personal experience.)
That should take about 5 minutes; then engage them in “Q&A” and discussion for the next 10 minutes – ask them for their experiences and examples, ask them to talk with their parents about it at home, etc.  Then move on to…
2)      Winning
A.      What does “winning” mean?
B.      What does winning involve?
C.      What does winning achieve?
D.     Is winning important?
E.      Is winning good?
F.       What do we learn from winning?
G.     (Feel free to add…)
That should also take about 5 minutes; then engage, etc., then move on to…
3)      Losing
A.      What does “losing“ mean?
B.      How do we “lose”?
C.      Is losing bad?
D.     What do we learn from losing?
E.      How does losing affect our teammates?
F.       How can/should we help or assist our teammates?
G.     (Feel free to add…)
That should also take about 5 minutes; then engage, etc., then wrap up with a summary, and maybe give them a “homework assignment” for next week, to talk about then.

That’s it—very simple, very open, and very, very important.  You can do this.  Just as the Founders and Framers did what they did, for their posterity, we can do this for ours.
